Seems to be some confusion on the Internets regarding Springboard’s self-proclaimed ‘smart notebook’ solution with the recent release of its latest version. Some actual journalistic reports seem to be describing it as a ‘SMART Notebook’ solution (capitalization theirs), though the Springboard app they reference does not appear to be related in any way to SMART Tech’s interactive whiteboard product.

As Fraser Speir points out in a tweet today over the prospect of a SMART Tech-branded app for iOS, “Unless it accepts input from the board digitiser, this is nothing you can’t get today.” ‘Nuff said.
